Requirement for Assistant Lecturers

Qualifications

i. Applicants must have Master Degrees in relevant disciplines(fields of specializations).
ii. Applicants must have Cumulative GPA of not less than 3.5 at undergraduate Degree level and at least cumulative GPA of4.0 at post graduate level. (Master)  in the respective fieldsof specifications.
iii. Applicants must have IT skills (Computer literate).
iiii. Prior experience in University level teaching is an added advantage.

i) Applicants should possess very good command in Kiswahili and English languages.
ii) Ability to communicate information, knowledge and skills to others.
iii) Excellent interpersonal skills.
iiii) Ability to work as a part of a team.
v) Ability to exercise initiative and be proactive.

vii) Ability to prepare and deliver own teaching material.
viii) Problem solving and innovation skills.
ix) Ability to recognize those having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support.
x) Ability to prepare quality research proposals.
xi) Ability to write academic paper and work as academician.
xii) Applicants for the post of Assistant Lecturer Nursing MUST be registered by the Recognized Authority.

Duties and Responsibilities

ix. Undertake Academic teaching, Research and Consultancy services to the Public and Private Communities.
x. Supervise Seminars and practicals for Students.
xi. Assist in setting assignments, tests, examinations as prescribed in the course syllabus and fill out assessment forms.
xii. Prepare marking scheme and to mark tests and assignments done by the students.
xiii. Present examination and evaluation reports.
xiiii. Guide and advice students on matters related to their academic development.
xv. Assist students in research field works.
xvi. Perform other University duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to him/her by Senior officials.
