Job Purpose:

Analyse credit worthiness of the new and existing borrowers in order to determine the counterparty risks involved to minimize credit loss and optimise Bank returns through scrutinization of industry risks, business risks, financial risks and management risks.


Key Responsibilities/Tasks Risk Management:

 Evaluate clients’ credit data and financial statements in order to determine the degree of risk involved in granting facilities to customers e.g. generating financial ratios

 Provide advice on the risk appetite of the Bank to the business team on the existing credit pipeline

 Compare liquidity, profitability and credit histories of individual or company being evaluated with similar establishments to determine risk.


Reporting:

 Prepare reports about the degree of risk in lending money to clients to minimise bad debts and to maximise accounts receivables collections.

 Prepare reports on credit pipeline and status for management credit committee (MCC) and Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) meetings


Operations:

 Conduct credit checks through credit referencing bureau to obtain credit information on clients

 Conduct market research on various industries and sectors for incorporation in the credit applications

 Conduct credit analysis and prepare loan request summaries, then submitting the applications to the relevant approving authorities.

 Analyse client records and using the data to recommend payment plans.

 Conduct annual review of accounts which are due for renewal or further extension

 Review of non-performing or other stressed accounts and recommend for restructure as required


Administration:

 Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time

Academic / Professional Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Economics or any other related field


Working Experience Required

 A minimum of 1 year of working experience at Officer level
