Job Description

Purpose of the role:

The core purpose of the position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with Group accounting polices & IFRS (accountability for TB Integrity)

Key accountability:

·         Accountable for ensuring reconciled and accurate records of financial transactions in accordance with company guidelines and statutory/fiscal requirements (accountable for accuracy & completeness of the TB inc. revenue accounting)

·         Check/Perform reconciliations of Key financials (inc Revenue checks) to confirm completeness & accuracy of the Key TB lines

·         Accountable for the month end close requirements in line with group policies and instructions, Inc. ensuring all related reconciliations/transactions are complete to be able to give assurance on the completeness & accuracy of the transactions supporting the financial statements.

·         Approval of Payroll and ensuring related reconciliations & controls in payroll are implemented & adhered to

·         Prepare and confirm supporting balance sheet schedules required per the group policies & instructions

·         Accountable for the Intercoy transactions

·         Understand and implement technical accounting principles including group IFRS and local statutory requirements and ensure all transactions are compliant.

·         Understand and act on local statutory reporting requirements, the differences between group & local reporting and meet other external reporting requirements e.g. local government requirements (Financial statements filing).

·         Lead/Coordinate the audit process with the Finance Manager per the Internal & external timelines

·         Review, Manage & implement Controls of Master-data for all Master-data (Price, Stocks, Payables, Receivables Etc.) to ensure there are no control lapses

·         Oversight and management of the financial systems (GP & SAP), Ensure controls are maintained in our financial systems to ensure IT governance is achieved

·         Review and propose system configuration/control changes where necessary

·         Manage & Forecast Balance Sheet and implementation of controls & process improvements to deliver an efficient working capital (improved cash cycles)  in line with business objectives

·         Review the elements of statutory accounts related to tax, to contribute to the group tax reporting requirements and understand the domestic and group's tax profile. The ability to provide input to tax audits.

·         Be a part of the senior finance team with shared responsibility for Finance people talent management and implementation of key finance initiatives

·         Other ad hoc Tasks as maybe required from time to time

Qualifications and experience:

The incumbent is required to have the following qualifications and experience level:

·         A bachelor’s degree in finance or other related field.

·         CPA T qualified

>5 years relevant experience,
