JOB VACANCY – HR AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
Green Resources is one of Africa’s largest private forestation companies and fully owned by Green Resources AS. The core business of Green Resources is to develop new commercial forest plantations for industrial wood production as well as industrial operations. Sao Hill Industries Limited is a subsidiary of Green Resources, located in Mafinga, Tanzania and focused on Timber, and Poles Production.

Reports to: HR Manager and Branch Manager
Location: Sao Hill, Sao Hill Mandela Yard – Dar es Salaam
Job Description: HR and Administration Officer will take overall responsibility of the HR issues at Mandela Yard and other branches as well as all administration issues at Mandela Yard.

Key tasks:
a) Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff,
b) Maintain human resources database to ensure all staff and employment related information is accurate and up todate
c) Process employees welfare such as leaves, resignations, allowances, retirements,
d) Ensure employees compensation and benefits are in line with company policies and updated Government legislation,
e) Handle and report employee complaints, grievances and disputes,
f) Implementing the company HIV/AIDS Policy for all Tanzanian companies,
g) Ensure efficient office Management system,
h) Provide advice and information to management and employees on human resource policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety programs,
i) Ensures safe custody of office equipment’s
j) Preparations of HR weekly and Monthly reports
k) Welcome visitors and guide them relevant offices.
l) Maintain a visitors’ log
m) Deal with general queries from the public and customers.
n) Organise a logical filling / archieve system for company documents and correspondence.
o) Oversee the purchasing and distribution of administrative office supplies and maintain stores, keeping records of movement of the same.
p) Ensure that all duties in the scope of your responsibilities are done in accordance to Occupational Health and Safety Standard.
q) Collect mails bag from the post office and deliver mail bag to the post office
r) Other duties as may be assigned to you by Management of the company.

Person Specifications and Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management / Administration or relevant field from a recognized Institution.
• At least (3) years working experience.
• Strong planning ability
• Comfortable with both working on their own and as part of small multi-disciplinary team, displaying interpersonal and leadership skills and utilizing resources effectively.
• Good organizational skills; self-starter with an ability to co-ordinate and prioritize
• Relevant academic qualifications.
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English
