Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will insure the daily management of human resources on behalf of ITM Africa Ltd.

Job Description

Purpose of the Position (Role):

 Under the coordination of the Country manager, the Human Resources Manager :

  • Insure the daily  management  of human resources on behalf of ITM  Africa Ltd.
  • Insure the management of Labor hire
  • Organise both commercial, and internal Recruitment, Labor hire as well as  coordinates the different Training courses

Specific tasks:

1.               ManageHR administration;

  • Supervise HR activities;
  • Enforce procedure,  regulations and ethics of ITM Africa Ltd;
  • Work with government bodies involved in human resources management;
  • Ensure the monitoring and application of the management decisions.
  • Deal in a timely manner with requests from staff at different ITM sites
  • Treat disciplinary actions and propose appropriate sanctions to the CM of ITM;
  • Supervise staff movements of ITM;
  • Contribute to the revision of Jobs description for a clear definition of tasks and responsibility assignments;
  • Oversee the elaboration of administrative correspondence;
  • Prepare monthly reports on the activities of the HR Department , labor hire, Recruitment and Training ;
  • Supervise induction of agents when their taking up  their duties. 
  • Manage the process at the end of contract (exit interviews, correspondence, final payment, etc.) 
  • Organise annual evaluations of staff and  monitor  the results  to track  agents carrier;
  • Maintain a close consultation with other HR of the company, for an effective management of staff;
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the management.

2.          Fulfil all legal obligations relating to the good management of Human Resources

  • Finalise the tax  declarations for payment, within the time required,
  • Organize, control and approve the monthly payroll of ITM  agents as well as Labor hire agent while ensuring the conformity  of certainty of justifications;
  • Manage the leave schedule;

3.          Training

  • Identify the training available within ITM
  • Identify the relevant trainers
  • Organize training by checking compliance with the Training Checklist

Relations and Interactions (services and departments)

Working in interacting with all departments and stay in touch with  ITM Staff of Rwanda and the all ITM colleagues from HR, Labor hire and training department of Lubumbashi and Kinshasa.

Profile (Knowledge, Skills, Certification and Experience)

-        Bachelor degree in Social Science, Psychology, Human Resource Management or other similar sciences;

-        Good computer skills

-        Good communication skills

-        Fluency in English and good knowledge of French;

-        Good sense of planning, organization, monitoring and evaluation.

-        Good sense of organization

-        Pro-active

-        Dynamic

-        Discreet

-        Being bilingual would be an asset.
