OVERVIEW
The ICT Support Trainee will be responsible to promote and support use of the ICT and associated resources and services as well as to provide a range of technical and general support in respect of ICT 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education: A degree in Information technology, Computer Science or related discipline.

Computer skills: 

Essential: Software - Windows Server 2000- 2012, MAC OS, Windows 10 Pro, IOS, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Networking, Switches, Routers

Desirable: SQL Server, DNS configuration and setup, DHCP configuration and setup, RIS/RDS deployment tools, Acronis back up management
Language:  Fluent in written and spoken English

Personal Traits: Open, Honest, Hardworking, Possesses a positive attitude

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

A minimum of 2+ years experience

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Operational

  • Ensure all ICT operating systems and applications are fit for purpose, continually reviewed and enhanced to meet the changing business needs
  • Create and manage user accounts and Office 365 functionality and all other platforms related to that
  • Maintain, support and repair technical equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, SMART Boards, projectors, A/V equipment and peripherals
  • Review manage and where necessary offer alternative solutions for network security systems
  • Install and deploy new equipment, and perform hardware/software upgrades and installations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services.
  • Provide Support In-house and to all CSI Sites which will cover but not restricted to System and application support (I.e. Support for Office 365, Microsoft Office and general desktop/application Support, Desktop PC/Laptop installation/Mobile configuration, Anti-Virus Deployment and support, Updating Microsoft Active Directory and providing password resets, making changes to the telephone system as instructed, System patching), Hardware support (I.e. Cabling and moving hardware, Peripherals support including Printers), Cloud Support
  • Ensure training and learning resources are available to staff
  • Provide general IT technical support and quality servicing for PCs, laptops, printers, servers and other hardware

People

  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure operation efficiency
  • Provide timely and professional, client level technical support for CSI employees 

Planning

  • Plan and implement changes to all elements of the ICT service, with special focus on minimizing system downtime.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

Reports & Analysis

  • Update and develop the ICT department asset database
  • Assist in keeping system documentation and policies relevant and accurate
  • Assist with the inventory audits of equipment and software
  • Maintaining accurate records of: - License Renewals, Equipment Procurement and Stock management

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure HSE/QAQC Compliance in all departmental procedures, processes and operations
  • Quality in the services provided, reports, purchases, plans and programs
  • Compliance to all relevant laws and regulations and international certification standards
