Position: RETAIL OPERATIONS OFFICER

Location: DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA

Type:         FULL-TIME / REGULAR

Age:      25 – 35yrs

Preferred:    Young Ladies

Gross Pay:    TZS500, 000

 

A local Boutique Store specializing in the sale of women’s local & international fashion including wedding dresses, evening gowns, shoes, cocktail dresses and other fashion accessories for women. We are looking for an experienced, presentable and charming retail operations officer to oversee the daily operations of her chain of boutique stores in Dar Es Salaam. You will be the one to ensure smooth running of operations to maximize sales, customer satisfaction and minimize operating costs.

 

The ideal candidate must have experience in retail sales, store/boutique supervising in the fashion business and knowledge of diverse business concepts such as sales, marketing, customer service and accounting. The goal for the successful candidate is to manage our boutiques in ways that maximize revenues and develop the business. Commissions will be offered for achieving sales targets.

 

Responsibilities

  • Organize all boutique operations and allocate responsibilities to staff
  • Requires constant mobility/travelling between boutique’s branches located in Dar Es Salaam to ensure smooth boutique operations
  • Supervise and guide boutique staff towards maximum performance
  • Prepare and control the boutique’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency.
  • Will be responsible for administration and government statutory compliance etc.
  • Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget
  • Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the boutique’s reputation and brand image
  • Inspect the areas in the boutiques and resolve any issues that might arise. Should better the shop environment in an effort to enhance boutique brand image and customer service
  • Ensure high levels of customer’s satisfaction through excellent customer service orientation and service culture
  • Responsible for developing profitable corporate relations by attending events and networking
  • Must act as the face of the brand and drive the brand forward
  • Perform additional boutique manager duties as needed
  • Will be responsible for boutique revenue and profit generation across all branches
  • Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ database, expand the boutique’s foot traffic and drive profitability
  • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
  • Keep abreast of local/international fashion market trends to determine the need for improvements in the boutique and products
  • Must be creative in proposing new boutique marketing ideas

Requirements

  • Proven experience a in retail stores/boutique operations or in other local/international fashion business
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in boutique sales. Experience in local/international fashion industry will be added advantage
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities in Swahili and English
  • Must be very charming, friendly in receiving and communicating with customers
  • Must be fashionable and presentable
  • Minimum Diploma in business administration, Sales, Marketing and Accounts.
