Direct, Manage, and ensure implementation of CLIENT financial accounting, treasury and receivables functions according to CLIENT policies, procedures and control in order to ensure compliance with general accounting principles, corporate policies, and external auditors

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Petroleum and Fuel

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
LEADERSHIP 
  • To strategically analyse, plan and implement solutions which will enhance the internal business collaboration and alignment as well as defining the upcoming business opportunities considering the market and the industry trend to ensure business growth and sustainability.
  • To initiate, manage and monitor department budget within the company regulations in order to achieve company goals with organizational cost optimization.
  • To manage and lead the individuals and collaborative performance through maximizing the potential of other, motivation and high level of emotional intelligence with a focus to create successors through well-defined development plan in order to ensure business continuity.
  • To initiate, sponsor and implement organizational change through encouraging innovation, and extending support to others to adapt with the change in order to improve the company effectiveness and ensure business continuity.
  • To strategically plan and manage department objectives, and to manage the internal process and human resources through applying technical know -how and leadership skills in order to achieve CLIENT overall goals
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
  • To establish, monitor, review and ensure implementation of accounting policies, procedures, controls, systems and operational strategies to provide efficient accounting services to various business streams.
  • To assist in preparation of annual budgets and five years long term business plan in order to ensure efficient financial performance of CLIENT.
  • To plan and supervise the activity of finance based on long and short term goals in order to exercise continual improvement of financial standards and practices within the company to fully accomplish special department objectives and routine department functions.
  • To control all general ledger accounting functions according to CLIENT Finance procedures in order to maintain efficient closure of monthly accounts
  • To assists in developing & preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements according to CLIENT Finance policy and procedures in order to maintain CLIENT financial performance.
  • To identify and recommend the best source of financing for the company and ensure the optimal utilization of funds to ensure efficient financial performance.
  • To continuously analyse the existing procedures, processes and system related to financial accounting and treasury and recommend improvements accordingly in order to ensure operation efficiency.
  • To work closely with different departments in order to provide them with required financial accounting services in order to ensure efficient operations.
  • To analyse and identify areas for additional controls to address risks including the actions required as per Company Risk Register and recommend improvements to maintain the company risks management.
  • To oversee and ensure that expenditures are within approved budget in ensure efficient CLIENT financial performance.
  • To review and audit the financials of investee companies and subsidiaries based on the approved plan in order to maintain CLIENT rights.
  • To effectively manage Payments to creditors and ensure it is efficiently budgeted and accrued for.
TAXATION
  • To prepare of the company tax computations and tax returns according to CLIENT policies and procedures and with liaising with Tax authorities and agents in order to maintain CLIENT financial performance.
  • To provide advices for any business investments and joint ventures related to taxation in order to ensure best reflection of visibility studies and facilitate the decision making processes.
INSURANCE
  • To source and provide and yearly review of adequate insurance coverage to all types business streams, SBU and risk in operating the business in order to ensure business sustainability
  • To timely report of accidents/incidents which cause damages to people and property to insurance providers and ensure claims settlement in order to maintain CLIENT rights
HSEQ
  • Demonstrate a commitment to CLIENT’s HSE Policies.
  • Take positive steps to prevent harm/damage to CLIENT’s Staff, Assets and Reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with company’s standard operating procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Participate actively in CLIENT’s HSE Management systems.
JOB CONTEXT
  • Strictly follow the financial delegation authority manual and implementing sound financial controls
  • Timely closing and providing financial information are critical to meet CMA and MSM regulatory requirements
  • Adhering g to the credit controls procedures is critical to maintain efficient company’s working capital
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
Internal:
All CLIENT Departments
External: Mainly Auditors, Bankers, shareholders, Board of director, consultancies, new investment partners, associate management and subsidiaries.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Qualification:
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  •  Professional certification in Accounting (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Petroleum Fuel Background
