Reporting to: Deputy Chief Executive Officer
The incumbent shall be responsible
for providing assistance to DCEO on day to day business of the organization,
overseeing the overall Dar es Salaam office operations, assisting DCEO with the
innovation and business development unit, planning and modernization activities
and also assisting DCEO in risk management, monitoring and evaluation
program resource allocation and assurance to quality.
strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines including managing the budget,
tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to
meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
that program activities move according to predetermined schedule.
the progress of the program activities on a regular basis and hold regular
meetings with different stakeholders.

Monitor staff performance and complete
Provide status reporting regarding
project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating
Participate and/or drive feasibility
studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key
Develop and manage all aspects of
project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships,
communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Develop and deliver progress reports,
proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences,
including project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders
Determine the frequency and content of
status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and
troubleshoot problem areas
Ensure that projects and programs are
proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
Other duties as assigned
candidate must possess Masters in Business Administration or Social Science from
reputable university of equivalent qualifications form a recognized University.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
least five (5) years extensive and successful experience in project planning
management, humanitarian and development programmes.
donor funded projects in particular UN Agency and other Development Agencies.
have an experience of working at the senior level with minimum supervision.
must also possess a high degree of honesty, integrity, visionary leadership,
professionalism, responsiveness, Respect, Team Work spirit and volunteerism.
to establish and maintain relationship with key people both internally and
to manage a highly complex portfolio and deliver a wide range of objectives
within the time available.

think strategically without losing touch with day today service delivery
