Designation: Senior Sales Executive 

Reporting To: Business Unit Head 

Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

The Senior Sales Executive will be the primary interface between Techzanite Limited and its clients. He/she will be responsible for identifying new customers, bringing in new sales, and effectively maintaining relationships with client. Generating revenue for the team through educational consulting and by closing sales deals either over the phone or face to face.


  • Research and analyze potential prospects and sales options in the market with the aim of growing sales revenue

  • Develop relationships with prospective clients by recommending solutions to improve their production/services by using of Techzanite Limited products. This may be done through cold calling, partnering, and customer referrals;

  • Conduct product demo to potential client and ensure customer pain points are addressed;

  • Develop, implement, and maintain sales activities and plans;

  • Prepare proposals and quotations for provision of TCL products or services for potential clients;

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with current clients by providing information, guidance, and support; and recommending new opportunities;

  • Lead and coordinate contract negotiations to a successful close;

  • Prepare weekly sales and marketing report for submission to the management;

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and oversee the FAQ database;

  • Maintain client and sales information in the TCL CRM; Logging conversations had with prospects on CRM software.

  • Keep abreast with the product changes, market requirements and comparable services provided by competitors;

  • Any other related tasks assigned by Management.

  • Generating revenue by counselling prospects and converting them to sales.

  • Converting free app users to paid users using emails, SMS and direct sales.

  • Take and process orders in an accurate manner

  • To be a single point of interface for all customers till conversion.

  • Coordinate with respective team for the product services.

  • Helping the team through training and mentoring


  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT product and solution selling. Experience in providing IT solution service for educational institution is an added advantage

  • Degree in Sales & Marketing or Business Management. IT related field qualification is an added advantage

  • Strong understanding of Tanzania customer and market dynamics and requirements in EduTech space

  • Good analytical skills to understand the challenges and problems that customers face in order to identify opportunities for a sale;

  • Excellent communication skills to deal with customers and prospects at different levels;

  • Excellent presentation skills in order for effective product demo and proposal presentation to clients including technical and finance teams responsible for making purchasing decisions;

  • Good negotiating skills to secure sales that are profitable to the company;

  • I.T. skills including MS Office and CRM systems at Intermediate level; and

  • Entrepreneur spirit and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Reporting Mechanisms and Frequencies

  • Daily Time Sheet

  • Quarterly Business Update Report

  • 6 days a week and 8 hours a day (8am to 5pm)

  • Candidate should be flexible to work on Sunday’s as and when it is required, on those days Tuesday will be declared as week off.

    Level of Authority

  • Prepare proposal, Proforma Quotes for Standard Products. Measurable Outputs
  • Quarterly reviews for assigned targets.
