We have opening positions for Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for our Client Steel Production factory in Mkuranga
Ensure that all new and existing equipment or machinery is operating properly.
Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root cause.
Rebuild and reseal components as needed to ensure functionality.
Assist in any repairs that may be needed to the buildings, machines or grounds.
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all machinery as scheduled by the Maintenance Manager.
Work off shift hours as necessary to perform maintenance around production schedule.
Assist with manufacturing and installation of new equipment as needed.
Properly document maintenance performed so that accurate records can be kept in eMaintenance.
Serve as an advanced technical resource in a given maintenance specialty (i.e. fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, controllers, etc.).
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
May be responsible for supplying hand tools required for the job.
Performs any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum 4 years work experience as an Electrical technician or industrial mechanic in a steel production or any other manufacturing environment.
Must have experience working with and ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, including 24V to 480V electrical systems, power distribution, AC/DC Motors, control circuitry, VFD, Prox and PLC control systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to fabricate and weld is a plus.
Associate’s Certificate from VETA or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field; or equivalent private vocational training; or successful completion of any other practical training program will be appreciated is preferred.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
